Lead programmer. Develop new and maintain existing Forecasting and Space Planning applications. Designed and developed interface to AC Nielsen’s Spaceman application Builder. This interface contained business rules to ensure data integrity and control user actions. Created reporting application that extracted data from SQL Server and exported the data into MS Excel. Planned and performed conversion from SQL Server 6.5 to 2000. Converted several VB3/DAO applications to VB6/ADO. Utilized VS.Net 2002 and 2003 (VB.Net and C# (C-Sharp)) Visual Basic 5 and 6, SQL Server 6.5 and 2000 (queries, stored procedures, triggers, Views and DTS) ADO, Visual SourceSafe 6.0, and Crystal Reports 6.0, 7.0. Maintained ASP website that allowed users to generate reports from SQL Server data. Maintained SQL Server and Windows 2000 application server. Configured Windows Terminal Server with Citrix MetaFrame. Installation, creation and development using SQL Server Reporting Services.

September 1999 through November 1999 – Buena Vista Home Entertainment
Created and modified Visual Basic applications. Evaluated mission critical applications data structure and created a stored procedure to purge outdated and unneeded data. Extracted and manipulated SQL Server data to be stored in a data warehouse. Utilized Visual Basic 5 and 6, SQL Server 6.5 (queries, stored procedures, triggers and Views) ADO, Visual SourceSafe 5.0 and 6.0. Maintained ASP website that allowed users to generate reports from SQL Server data.
February 1998 through September 1999 – The Boeing Company – Electronic Systems & Missile Defense
Designed, developed and implemented Travel Audit and Cost Type Billing applications. Utilized Visual Basic 5, Oracle (queries and stored procedures, triggers), RDO 2.0, Visual SourceSafe 5.0, and Crystal Reports 6.0 (including sub-reports). Converted several VB3/DAO applications to VB5/RDO. Created ActiveX DLL’s to ensure security of database passwords in the production environment and timed application shutdowns.
August 1997 through January 1998 – Sechrist Industries
Developed application for a medical device manufacturer. Designed and created reusable classes. Tools used included Visual Basic 5, DAO, Access 97, SQL, Visual SourceSafe 5.0, and Crystal Reports 5.0. The application allows the tracking of patients through the medical procedures and captures data for analysis of patient care.
January 1997 through June 1997 – Chrysler – Detroit, Michigan
Contract with Trilogy Development Group of Austin, TX. Projects included development of Capacity Planing application for Chrysler Corporation in Detroit, MI utilizing Visual Basic 4.0, Remote Data Objects, Sybase, and Visual SourceSafe. Application provided Chrysler Analysts with the information needed to accurately develop build schedules. Other projects included testing of ActiveX components using Visual Basic 4.0 and Java.
February 1996 through March 1997 – Critical Mass Communications
Project Lead for company that specializes in developing Internet application for their clients. Responsible for design, project management, and development. Use of Visual Basic 4.0, Mindwire NT, Delphi, Windows NT, Windows 95, MS SQL Server, Visual SourceSafe, and Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS).

Development Programmer
Promoted to developer in July, 1990. My responsibilities were to design, develop and maintain programs and utilities in Assembler and REXX. Programs assisted customers in converting from competitive products to Legent products. Programs often customized to assist with individual customer’s needs. All projects completed early or on time. Provided on-site support to customers during their conversions. Support included software installation, troubleshooting, and training. Wrote program using Visual Basic and MS Office Development Kit (ODK) to assist Account Managers with scheduling conversions. This program used MS-Mail and E-Forms.
Field Systems Engineer
As a Field Systems Engineer I was a technical liaison between the customer and the Account Managers. This included both pre and post sales responsibilities. I traveled to customer sites and assisted them with installation, troubleshooting, and training of EPIC/VSE, EPIC/CMS and Surveillance. I was the only Engineer that installed and supported all three products.
Computer Operator
As a Computer Operator responsibilities included running backups, QA of Beta releases of EPIC/VSE, EPIC/CMS and Surveillance, maintaining EPIC/CMS utilities in REXX, and testing user reported problems. Wrote utilities in REXX to fully automate the backup processing. This allowed more time to learn the core products and increased my productivity.
